But now, the exact amount of time that Trump has spent playing golf since returning to office has been revealed, and it may shock you.
Over the Easter weekend, Trump was spotted visiting the Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC with political ally Elon Musk, although it's unclear if he actually played a round of golf with the Tesla owner.
If he did, it would be the 24th day that the American president has spent playing golf since being sworn in for his second term, according to Trump Golf Track, a website that tracks how often Trump plays a round.

The website doesn't list the visit with Musk as a day spent playing golf, but even without it, Trump playing golf 23 times out of his 92 days in office means he has shockingly spent 25% of his second presidency playing golf.
For almost all of these rounds of golf, the president has travelled to Florida to play at one of several courses that he owns in the state, greatly increasing the costs as security and travel must be considered.

In March, a report from The Independent investigated exactly how much these golf trips were costing the American public, citing costs from a 2019 Government Accountability Office report,

The outlet claims that Trump's decision to regularly travel to his courses in Florida cost American taxpayers in excess of $18 million.
At this time, the 78-year-old has spent 13 days on the golf course, meaning that this cost will have no doubt significantly increased since then, as Trump has nearly double his amount of time playing.
The report adds that during Trump's first term in office, the total for his golf tips was a shocking $151.5 million over four years.
