Valencia defender Toni Lato was named the "ideal man" for Gennaro Gattuso's teenage daughter... by Gennaro Gattuso.
Laro opened the scoring for the La Liga side in their 5-1 demolition of Getafe on Sunday as goals from Samuel Lino, Samu Castillejo, Nico Gonzalez and Hugo Duro sealed an emphatic win at the Mestalla.
Soon after the final whistle, full-back Laro was earmarked as a potential son-in-law by the former AC Milan midfielder in a press conference.

Gattuso said: "We're lucky to have a player like Toni Lato. He's a great guy. My daughter is very young, she is only 18. But someone like Toni is an ideal man for her.
"You can see what a guy he is; humble and hardworking."

It didn't take long for Gattuso's comments to become a talking point. In fact, reporter Nacho Sanchis approached Laro after the press conference to talk about being the so-called "ideal man" for his manager's daughter.
“I don't know what to say," the 24-year-old said, going slightly red in the face. "I'm very fond of the manager but I have my partner."
Valencia are currently 10th in the La Liga table after picking up two wins from four games under Gattuso.

The Italian, known for his feisty nature, isn't afraid to make his feelings known. Take this incident involving defender Gabriele Bellodi during his time at AC Milan, for example.
As a proud Bellodi held a Barcelona shirt in the air after Milan's 1-0 win against the Catalan side, Gattuso decided to slap him around the face.
Valente Silva scored an injury time winner in the 2018 International Champions Cup tournament clash and after the full-time whistle, Bellodi clearly wanted to remember the result by picking up a Barca shirt.

Gattuso, on the other hand, wasn't exactly delighted by the youngsters actions, using the classic Italian hand gesture to showcase his feelings.
He did, however, give the youngster a chance to impress in the tournament; a moment Bellodi will never forget.
