Manchester United are expected to submit a bid for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat in the coming days, according to reports in Italy.
United manager Erik ten Hag finds himself under pressure at the start of the new season after back-to-back lacklustre performances from his side in their opening two matches of the new Premier League campaign.
United narrowly beat Wolves 1-0 at Old Trafford before losing 2-0 to Tottenham away from home.

Much of the post-match discussion after the Spurs defeat centred on United's midfield and the lack of support for Casemiro.
United have already signed Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund for a combined fee of more than £160m, while Jonny Evans has also joined a short-term deal.
But Ten Hag is still in the market for players who can strengthen his squad - in particular the midfield.
The Old Trafford club have held talks over signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who is also a target of Liverpool.

United have also been strongly linked with Fiorentina's Amrabat, who impressed with his energetic performances for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar.
Italian outlet La Nazione (via FootballFanCast) claim that Amrabat could be subject to an offer from United in 'the next couple of days'.
United are said to be preparing an offer of between €25-30m (£21.3m-£25.6m) for the player, who was described as 'extraordinary' by talkSPORT earlier this year.
Fiorentina chief executive Joe Barone has suggested the club is willing to offload any players who are not fully committed to the cause.

"We are always ready for other entries and exits. If there is someone that is not happy, we can satisfy them by the end of the market," he said.
Speaking earlier this month, Ten Hag admitted he is keen to bring in further signings before the window closes on September 1.
"Managers always want more!" said the Dutchman. "I think every manager you ask wants more.
“But it is more about the mentality and in top football you have to demand the maximum. And because we also do that from our players and the fans expect it from us, so always you look for the perfect situation.

"But you also know you never get the perfect situation and you have to work for that, maybe not with the perfect situation, but to get the perfect results."
