Chelsea are yet to return with an improved bid and there has been no confirmation on whether Brighton are willing to entertain new bids.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Chelsea on Sunday, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said: “I got told I can confirm that the deal with the club is agreed. Whatever that means exactly in the end we will see.

“What did change is we are a club who doesn't have endless resources, so we didn't expect a couple of things to happen in the summer - Hendo, Fab, stuff like this - we didn't think about that before the summer to be honest, and when it happened we gave it a go (to sign Caicedo).”
He added: “Obviously the club was really stretched (financially) to be honest. we will see in the end. Let's see what happens in the next hours and days, we go from there.”
Chelsea have reportedly pulled out of the deal to sign Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams, with many feeling the Stamford Bridge club could use the funds for Adams in their new bid for Caicedo.
