David Ornstein has laid bare information regarding Mohamed Salah's prospective move to the Saudi Pro League.
Writing in The Athletic the journalist confirmed that Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad had reignited their interest in the Liverpool forward.
However, the transfer guru claimed it is unclear at this stage if a deal for the 31-year-old will materialise.

Ornstein's claims come after Sportszone reported that Al-Ittihad and Salah have reached an agreement on a 3-year deal worth some £189million net in total. The publication added that the Egyptian will not force his departure from Liverpool and is ready to stay if Liverpool refuse to sell.
Salah's agent dismissed reports in August linking the 31-year-old to Saudi Arabia. The Liverpool star's representative, Ramy Abbas, took to X (Twitter) on August 7 following speculation to claim: “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”
Salah put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with Liverpool last summer, which made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history on a salary of £350,000 per week.

Liverpool have already lost two senior players to Saudi Arabia this summer, with former captain Jordan Henderson completing a controversial move to Al Ettifaq for £12million before Fabinho moved to Al Ittihad as part of a £40million deal.
Al Ittihad have also signed Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante so far this summer.
Earlier on Thursday, Relevo claimed that Salah wanted to join Al-Ittihad upon being offered the most lucrative salary in the entire Saudi Pro League.
After meeting's with Salah's representatives Al-Ittihad allegedly offered the Egyptian higher wages than Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays at Al-Nassr.

Moreover, the Spanish outlet added that the club were to be convinced that Salah will be enticed by the prospect of playing in a Muslim country alongside his eye-watering salary.
