Manchester United are considering a move for one of Facundo Pellistri's international teammates, according to reports.
United are in the market for reinforcements after struggling for consistency at the start of the new Premier League season, with defensive injuries causing major problems for manager Erik ten Hag.
Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia remain sidelined ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with rivals Manchester City, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is another injury doubt.

One positive for Ten Hag is the return to form of Harry Maguire, who has impressed in his last two appearances after being brought back into the team.
But his future remains uncertain, with the player considering a move away from United in January.
United are seemingly preparing for all possibilities, with the club reportedly on the lookout for another centre-back.
90min claim that United and Tottenham are both interested in Uruguay international Sebastian Caceres, who plays his club football for Mexican side Club America.
Caceres, 24, has become a key part of the new-look Uruguay side under Marcelo Bielsa, who has won four of his six games since taking charge of the national side.

It is claimed that United and Spurs have both sent scouts the watch the defender, while Newcastle United and West Ham have also been tracking the centre-back.
There is also interest in him from mainland Europe, with a host of clubs – including Atletico Madrid, Porto and Valencia – also reported to be keen.
Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand has identified two other defensive players that he claims United should be targeting in January - Lens defender Kevin Danso and Ronald Araujo of Barcelona.
"The boy at Lens, there's one there, he's good," Ferdinand told the Manchester Evening News.

"The Uruguayan boy at Barcelona - Araujo. Whether he's gettable or not, I think he's brilliant. He's an unreal centre half.
"He has every attribute to be perfect for the Premier League. I'd probably say he's the standout, but whether he's gettable or not, I don't know."
