Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sell Nathan Bishop, the goalkeeper involved in the incident that resulted in Wrexham striker Paul Mullin suffering a punctured lung.
The 23-year-old, who signed from Southend in 2020, is yet to make a senior appearance for United and his previous contract was due to expire at the end of last season.
But the club decided to trigger a one-year extension option, and Bishop was part of a young side that took on Wrexham in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

Bishop played the first half of the contest in the United States, but collided with Mullin, leaving the Wrexham star needing lengthy treatment.
The striker eventually left the pitch wearing an oxygen mask, and was taken to hospital. He was discharged on Wednesday.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson called the challenge 'reckless', and Bishop received abuse from fans of the League Two club online.

The 23-year-old took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to apologise to Mullin for the challenge, and visited the League Two side's dressing room after the game in an attempt to gain the forward's contact details, as per The United Stand.
According to the Manchester Evening News, current Wrexham and ex-United shot-stopper Ben Foster visited his former side's premises after the game to reassure Bishop.
The match may end up being the youngster's last appearance in a United shirt, however, with the club reportedly set to sell him elsewhere.

According to the Northern Echo, United have agreed the 'framework' of a deal to sell Bishop to Championship side Sunderland, with the agreement largely in place before the Wrexham clash.
It is claimed that, should the deal go through, the goalkeeper would act as second choice behind Anthony Patterson, who produced some impressive displays for Tony Mowbray's side this season.
The report adds that the move should be completed once United return from their pre-season tour, with Bishop not anticipated to feature during Saturday's friendly against Borussia Dortmund.
The Black Cats lack goalkeeping cover, and were forced to play a 16-year-old between the sticks during a recent friendly match.

Bishop's departure from Old Trafford would signal the end of a three-year spell at the club, but he will surely welcome the opportunity for more game time at senior level.
