Dwight Yorke previously warned Manchester United against signing a player who now reportedly wants to leave the club after being singled out by new head coach Ruben Amorim.
The Portuguese has experienced a tricky start to life at United since being appointed as Erik ten Hag's permanent replacement.
The former Sporting boss saw his side held to a 1-1 draw by Ipswich in his first match in charge last weekend.

United were then forced to come from behind to beat Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt 3-2 in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Amorim was left 'frustrated' with several of his players after the draw with Ipswich, and singled out striker Joshua Zirkzee in a post-match interview.
"I think that [decision-making] is a concern, you don't need to coach them at this level," Amorim told Sky Sports.

"Then you have like we are in the end of the game, we were around the box with two strikers. Josh [Zirkzee] has to understand that he has to go to the box to have the crosses."
Zirkzee has managed just one goal in 18 appearances for United since joining in a £36.5m move from Bologna in the summer.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim the striker is now pushing for a move away in January, and is keen to reunite with former coach Thiago Motta at Juventus.
The report adds that Motta is open to making a move for the 23-year-old, should United be willing to sell or loan him next month.

Former United striker Dwight Yorke, who scored 66 goals in 152 games for the club, said he was "baffled" by their interest in Zirkzee back in June – prior to the striker's arrival at Old Trafford.
"Names like Joshua Zirkzee being linked to Man United is baffling. They need a player who can definitely score goals," said Yorke in an interview with Best Payout Online Slots.
"They need someone who knows how to play in the Premier League. Why would you need 23-year-old Zirkzee when you have 21-year-old Rasmus Hojlund already at the club?

"Erik ten Hag needs an experienced man at striker alongside Hojlund, as he obviously struggled towards the end of last season. Niclas Fullkrug is one of those experienced strikers who has been smashing in the goals lately. But, he needs to be the right character.
"To be at United, you need to show resilience and not a weak mentality, that's what Sir Alex Ferguson was good at finding. That's why I think Hojlund needs to grow up very quickly.
"The honeymoon period is over for him and if he doesn't hit the ground running next season, he will come under a lot of scrutiny. You have to be a man to play at United."
United next face Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, with Hojlund set to start up front and Zirkzee on the bench.
