A Sky Sports reporter laid bare what he has heard about Manchester United’s pursuit of Benjamin Pavard.
Harry Maguire looks set to sign for West Ham after United accepted a £30million bid for the England international.
While personal terms are not expected to be a problem, with Maguire said to be keen on the move, Sky Sports News claim there is still work to do on details of the centre-back’s exit from United.

West Ham are said to be cautiously optimistic about completing a deal, having seen a £20million bid for the 30-year-old rejected last month.
And it has been reported by multiple outlets that should Maguire’s move be finalised, United will look to sign Pavard from Bayern Munich.
The France international has been linked with a Bayern exit throughout the summer, while it has been claimed Pavard is eager to move to United.

Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol corroborated claims United would move for Pavard should Maguire leave the club.
The journalist said: “Sources in Germany are expecting Manchester United to make a move for Benjamin Pavard if Harry Maguire leaves United.
“Bayern Munich have known for a long time that Pavard wants to leave and one source has told us that the player wants to move to United and also negotiations are ongoing at the moment.
“Now he’s a right-back that also plays as a centre-back. He would cost, we’re being told around €30-35million, so probably around £30million.

“In the past, he’s been linked to Manchester City, Liverpool and Barcelona, and he moved to Bayern from Stuttgart I think four years ago for €35million.
“I think what Bayern were trying to do this summer was to sell Pavard because he told them he wants to leave and replace him with Kyle Walker from Manchester City.
“But it looks like Kyle Walker is going to sign a new contract and stay at City, so will Bayern be putting pressure behind the scenes on Pavard to actually stay at the club? Our information is that the player would fight to get out of Bayern Munich.
“He really wants to move to the Premier League and I think he would find it very, very difficult to say no to Manchester United if United were to make an offer for him.”
