Manchester United are reportedly targeting a third Netherlands star after Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt.
With the summer transfer now officially open, United have been working around the clock to add more quality to Erik ten Hag’s squad.
This week, it was reported that United are progressing well in their bid to sign Bayern Munich defender De Ligt, who was included in the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 squad.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on social media: “Matthijs de Ligt told his agent Rafaela Pimenta two weeks ago: only Man United, no negotiations with other clubs.

“The contract agreed is valid until June 2029, five years. De Ligt only wants United. Negotiations between Man United and Bayern are also proceeding well.”
In addition, United are said to be closing in on a deal to bring in Zirkzee, who was a late inclusion in Ronald Koeman’s 26-man squad.
Romano said: “EXCLUSIVE: Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United, here we go! Man United will NOT trigger the clause but pay slightly above €40m with better payment terms, in three years.
“Zirkzee signs until June 2029 with option for further season. First signing of INEOS new era.”
