Matthijs de Ligt could reportedly be lined up for a move to the Premier League in the upcoming transfer windows.
Back in 2022, amid speculations linking him with a move to England, Dutchman De Ligt completed a move to German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich for a reported fee of €67 million.
Since then, the 24-year-old has made 54 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarian club, scoring four goals.

However, De Ligt has now been linked with a move to the Premier League again.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are keeping tabs on De Ligt ahead of making a potential move for the defender in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Arsenal would like to sign a defender during the January transfer window but a move for De Ligt would have to wait until the summer due to Financial Fair Play issues.

It is believed that due to their high spending on Declan Rice, the North London club would have to balance their books over the coming windows.
Speaking to the media during his pre-match press conference, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was asked about the January transfer window.
He said, via BBC Sport: “If there is something we can improve in the squad we are always going to be open to do that because we want to be strong.

“At the moment, it’s very difficult. We are really short. There are areas where we have been exposed in the last few weeks. Hopefully we will get players back. In what condition and when? That’s a different question.”
Liverpool have overtaken Arsenal in the Premier League table after their 2-0 win over Burnley on Tuesday night.
However, the Gunners can reclaim first place from Jurgen Klopp’s men if they win against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Thursday night.
