Manchester City have 'approached' a high-profile goalkeeper as an option to replace Ederson if he leaves this summer.
Ederson has been the subject of intense transfer speculation ahead of the new season.
He's wanted by Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad, who have made contact with Man City about sealing a transfer for Brazilian in the coming weeks.

Al Nassr had initially expressed an interest in luring the goalkeeper to the Middle East as Al Ittihad appear to be the frontrunners.
Ederson is believed to be valued around £50 million, with Al Ittihad prepared to test that resolve in what would be a major signing for the Saudi Pro League.
If he leaves the English champions, then Pep Guardiola will be tasked with replacing his No.1.

But a replacement has already been identified as Ben Jacobs claims Man City have 'approached' Gianluigi Donnarumma.
However, Donnarumma is happy at Paris Saint-Germain and has held 'early-stage' discussions about extending his stay in France.
But the Italian is thought to be interested in playing in the Premier League at some stage in his career.

The 25-year-old made his name at AC Milan, where he graduated from the club's youth academy.
In the summer of 2021, though, he joined PSG on a free transfer.
He's made 114 appearances for the club across all competitions and is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
As for Ederson, he's been a Man City player since 2017 following his move from Benfica.

He's played 332 games for the club, having been a regular starter under Guardiola.
