One of Liverpool's transfer targets has reportedly rejected a move to a fellow Premier League side.
Reds boss Arne Slot has the near-impossible task of following in the footsteps of Jurgen Klopp, who left the club after nearly nine years.
With the new Premier League season just days away, Liverpool are the only side yet to bring in any new players.

Earlier in the week, Real Sociedad and Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi rejected a move to Anfield.
On the back of that setback, it was then reported that Liverpool were interested in a deal to sign Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
The 23-year-old caught the eye during Euro 2024 in Germany as he played a key part in Georgia's route to the round of 16.

However, they were then knocked out by eventual winners Spain.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on Wednesday: “Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Giorgi Mamardashvili. He’s keen on the move even spending one or two years elsewhere on loan.
“Bournemouth open to signing him, then he’d become #LFC new GK after Alisson. Agents now in Valencia for club talks NO agreement yet.”
He later added: “Liverpool potential plan for Giorgi Mamardashvili, already clear: he’d join Bournemouth for one season from Valencia.

“Mamardashvili would only formally join #LFC from 2025 after #AFCB season. Giorgi already accepted Liverpool plan and contract terms. Up to the clubs.”
As reported by Anfield Watch, Mamardashvili rejected a move to fellow Premier League side Chelsea earlier in the summer transfer window.
The report stated: “Chelsea moved swiftly in an attempt to make him the latest goalkeeper to move to Stamford Bridge.

“The 23-year-old wasn’t swayed by the money on offer or convinced of the Chelsea project. He rejected their advances.”
Liverpool will kick off their 24/25 Premier League campaign this weekend when they travel to Portman Road to take on newly-promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
