Liverpool have reportedly 'reactivated their pursuit' of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as the club desperately searches for a new midfield signing.
After allowing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to leave for the Saudi Pro League, Liverpool were expected to swiftly sign replacements for the pair.
The Merseyside club submitted a British record £111m for Moises Caicedo but the deal was hijacked by Chelsea, who instead signed the Ecuadorian on an eight-year deal - paying Brighton £115m for the midfielder.

Liverpool turned their attention back to Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia but now look destined to miss out on him also, with Chelsea agreeing a £53m fee for the midfielder.
He is expected to undergo a medical with the London club on Wednesday ahead of completing a permanent move to Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool have been forced to go back to the drawing board and now look set to revive their interest in Gravenberch.

Jurgen Klopp's side were first linked with the Bayern Munich midfielder in the January transfer window when his agent Rafaela Pimenta was spotted at Anfield, amid speculation he could join the Reds on loan.
A move failed to materialise for the 21-year-old midfielder, who remained with Bayern for the rest of the season.
He made 33 appearances for the Bundesliga champions last season but the majority of those came from the bench, with the player reportedly unhappy with his role after a £22m move from Ajax last summer.
Liverpool were strongly linked with Gravenberch earlier this summer before turning their attention to other targets.

But French outlet Foot Mercato claim Liverpool are now set to revive their interest in the midfielder.
Journalist Santi Aouna tweeted: "Liverpool have reactivated their pursuit of Ryan Gravenberch this week. The player is open to a move to England. Talks ongoing with his entourage.
"The Bayern midfielder is still on Manchester United's list, although no offer has yet been made."
Speaking back in April, Gravenberch expressed his frustrations with his role at Bayern and suggested he would consider leaving if his role remained the same.

"Training and playing at the top level for a year is beautiful and instructive. I say playing, but it's mainly training," he said.
"That has to change next season, then I really want to play weekly again. I haven't spoken to the club management yet, so just wait and see what happens.
"But it's clear that this role does not match my expectations."
