Laura Woods named a Chelsea player when asked to reveal her ‘dream’ Arsenal signing.
The Gunners have spent over £200million this summer as they look to go toe-to-toe with Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta has sanctioned the £65million arrival of Kai Havertz from Chelsea, the £38million acquisition of Ajax’s Jurrien Timber and a club-record £105million deal for Declan Rice this summer.

Moreover, Arsenal are expected to complete a £30million move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya ahead of the new Premier League season.
While Arsenal look more equipped this term to challenge City at the summit, as evidenced by their Community Shield victory over Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday, Arsenal fan Woods admitted that if money were no issue she would welcome the arrival of another striker.

Speaking exclusively to SPORTbible, the TNT Sports presenter referenced Chelsea’s £52million acquisition of Christopher Nkunku as an ideal type of addition for the Gunners.
When asked about her dream Arsenal signing, the 36-year-old said: “Maybe another striker? The Christopher Nkunku signing for me - I think someone like that, who is incredibly ruthless and clinical.
“I think you see when you get a good striker and you drop them into the Premier League and they adapt, even if it's like an old-school striker - I think you can always get another one of those.”
Since SPORTbible's conversation with Woods, Nkunku has been ruled out for "an extended period" after undergoing surgery on his injured knee.

On Arsenal’s pursuit of Raya, Woods added: “One thing I did not see coming was a backup goalkeeper/competition goalkeeper.
“I didn't see that coming and it's not that I'm not a fan of it at all. I've become quite good at not second-guessing managers because there's always a reason why they want to do it and a method to the madness.
“I think especially with Edu and Mikel Arteta, the last few signings have been perfect and also I know there's a personality gauge that you have to pass before you get into that club, irrespective of what your talent is, which I understand.”

Woods concluded: “So maybe another striker.
“I'm not sure which kind of role Kai Havertz is going to play. I don't think he is going to be a striker - I don't think that is his thing and I hope it's not.”
