Jhon Duran 'agrees terms' with club no-one has mentioned yet in biggest shock of the window so far

Jhon Duran 'agrees terms' with club no-one has mentioned yet in biggest shock of the window so far

The Aston Villa star is set to make a massive move in the final days of the transfer window.

Aston Villa has reportedly agreed to leave the club in a shock transfer in the final week of the January window.

Having impressed in the first half of the 2024/25 season, Duran has been subject to massive transfer speculation throughout the January window.

Earlier this week, Villa's Premier League rivals West Ham United had a £57million bid for the Colombian rejected as they hope to hold out for a bigger bid in the final days of the month.

And now, reports have suggested that Villa could be set to receive another bid for Duran as the striker has agreed terms to join a shock club.

Despite interest from within the Premier League, a report from French outlet L'Equipe has revealed that the 21-year-old has now agreed personal terms with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.

A fee is yet to be agreed between Villa and the Saudi Arabian club, but it is believed that a bid around £59million would be accepted should it come through in the coming days.

While there are several other clubs that are said to be interested in securing Duran's signature should they believe he is available this month, Al Nassr appear to have proven themselves to be the favourites.

Despite spending most of the season as the second choice striker at Villa behind Ollie Watkins, Duran has impressed scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions.

Therefore, he could be the perfect signing for Al Nassr, who are looking to spend big in the transfer market this year in order to keep star player Cristiano Ronaldo happy.

Ronaldo reportedly agreed a new contract with the Saudi side earlier this month in a deal worth over £167.9million, extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2026.

However, as part of this deal, Ronaldo is said to have demanded that Al Nassr make significant investments in the team throughout the year to ensure that they remain competitive.

And Duran isn't the only player that Al Nassr have been linked with in the final days of the window, as they have also reportedly agreed terms with Beyer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface.
