Jadon Sancho could be handed a lifeline by local billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, following his public fallout with manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho, 23, has endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford since securing a big money move from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021 for around £72million.
The winger, who rose through the ranks at Manchester City prior to his time in Germany, has just nine goals and six assists to his name in the Premier League across his 58 appearances for United, as he struggles to live up to the monumental price-tag.
While frustrations regarding his performance levels began to rise through the fanbase, his relationship with Ten Hag also started to fray behind the scenes, with the United boss publicly calling out Sancho for his effort levels in training back in September.

"Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him," Ten Hag said following the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal earlier in the year.
"You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected."
To which Sancho replied by releasing the following statement: "Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.

"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, l've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair! All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team."
The England international has since been heavily linked with an exit from the club, having not made a single matchday squad since being left out against Arsenal. However, he could also be given another opportunity at United, on the basis of one key condition.
According to Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Sir Jim Ratcliffe's arrival at United could play a role in Sancho's future, with the player likely to bide his time before deciding his future.
Speaking on his personal X account, he said: "Jadon Sancho, he‘s still leaning towards a transfer in winter but he also want to wait and see what happens inside the club (Owner etc). Understand there is no fixed price tag. A loan with an option to buy is still the most realistic scenario. The interest from Juventus is concrete as reported."

Sancho's career at United may yet be salvaged as a result with several options still on the table for the player, who has remained silent during his exile since his deleted statement.
