Chelsea’s alternative targets should they miss out on both Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney have been revealed.
Over the course of the summer transfer window, the Blues have been heavily linked with a move for Napoli striker Osimhen.
Meanwhile, Brentford star Toney was also said to be on the Stamford Bridge club’s radar.
However, on transfer deadline day, it was revealed that both Osimhen and Toney could move to the Saudi Professional League.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Al Ahli have also agreed a deal with Brentford for Ivan Toney worth €42m, as L’Équipe reported. Toney has already accepted as Al Ahli want Osimhen to make final decision as soon as possible.
“Al Ahli agreed both Osimhen and Toney deals but NO green light from Victor yet.”
He added: “Al Ahli have total agreement with Ivan Toney and his agents. Three year deal in place. Medical tests also booked for English striker and £40m to Brentford.
“Al Ahli have still no green light from Victor Osimhen despite club to club deal done with Napoli.”

As reported by Sky Sports, it is believed that sources in Saudi Arabia are saying they do not see how it is possible for Al Ahli to sign Osimhen and Toney.
Meanwhile, chief football writer for The Independent, Miguel Delaney has claimed that Chelsea have lined up two alternatives should they fail to sign Osimhen or Toney.
He wrote on social media: “Should both Toney and Osimhen go to Al Ahli, Chelsea also considering Jhon Duran and Dominic Calvert-Lewin - but trying to negotiate swap deals.”

The report added: “Toney’s future is interlinked with Victor Osimhen’s, even though they’ve never shared a pitch. Both are wanted by Saudi Pro League clubs. Both have been considered by Chelsea.
“It is possible the Stamford Bridge hierarchy move for whoever doesn’t go to Saudi Arabia. If they can’t get either, an attempt for Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t impossible.”
