Mikel Arteta has spoken about Kylian Mbappe’s imminent departure from Paris Saint Germain.
On Thursday afternoon, it was reported that Mbappe has finally made a decision on his Paris Saint Germain future.
The Frenchman has informed the Parc des Princes club that he will leave as a free agent when the 23/24 campaign draws to a close.

Over the last few seasons, Mbappe has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's Premier League match against Burnley, Gunners boss Arteta touched on his club’s stance in the race to sign Mbappe. You can watch the footage below.
He said: “When there is a player of that calibre we always have to be in the conversation. But as you said it looks in a different way.”

It was previously reported that Mbappe is willing to join Arsenal, due to the legacy of France legend Thierry Henry.
A report from The Independent states: “The repeat Ligue 1 champions still endured what they felt was a lack of loyalty when Mbappe’s wider circle reached out to Liverpool last year, but there was no offer from the Anfield hierarchy. They just didn’t want him that badly to break their entire financial strategy. It’s similar with Arsenal, who Mbappe would willingly join.
“That is in part a question of legacy, too, since it appeals to the player to follow Thierry Henry. This appreciation for history and legends had been the sort of thinking that once guided his career plan.”

Last month, it was reported that Liverpool have become the most credible and dangerous candidate for PSG regarding Mbappe’s future.
However, it has since been reported that the Anfield club rejected the chance to sign Mbappe due to the player's high wages.
It is widely expected that Mbappe will move to Madrid in the summer.
