Thiago Silva has jumped to Enzo Fernandez's defence after he was mocked by Brazilian media following his performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Fernandez, who cost Chelsea a club-record £107 million during the January transfer window, has largely impressed for his new team following his big-money move.
He looked sharp versus Fulham on his debut and delivered a stellar showing against West Ham United, setting up Joao Felix in his side's 1-1 draw at the London Stadium.

But the Argentine midfielder was partly at fault for Dortmund's goal against Chelsea last Wednesday.
With the game 0-0, Karim Adeyemi ran at Fernandez and easily beat him to score the winner.
He failed to contain the speedy forward, who skipped past the World Cup winner before slotting home.

After the result, Brazilian outlet TNT poked fun at the 22-year-old as they shared a picture of the player looking dejected, accompanied with the caption: "Call the Uber!"
The post slating Fernandez didn't do down well with Silva, who hit out on social media.
"Lack of f**king respect huh!!! Be more serious with your work," he replied.
Fernandez will likely start in the middle when Chelsea resume their league campaign against Southampton.

He starred for the Blues in their last league appearance, impressing Gianfranco Zola who compared him to Cesc Fabregas.
"I was very impressed with Enzo against West Ham," he said. "He has replaced a player who I have a lot of respect for in Jorginho.
"I respect him not only as a player but as a leader, he had a big contribution at Chelsea. I am sorry to see him go but Enzo looks very good. I was so impressed with his qualities.
"The speed of mind when he’s playing reminds me of Cesc Fabregas. Cesc was unbelievable, before he got the ball he knew where it had to go and within seconds it was dispatched exactly where he wanted.

"Enzo has similar qualities and has a lot of physicality as well. I’m impressed with him, he can be a really important player for us."
