Cristiano Ronaldo could become the next Manchester United captain if there's a change under Erik ten Hag, according to reports.
David De Gea and Bruno Fernandes are also thought to be in the frame for captaincy at Man United should Harry Maguire be stripped ahead of next season, according to ESPN's Rob Dawson.

De Gea and Fernandes have previously skippered Man United when filling in for Maguire.
The Spanish keeper has been at the club for 11 years and played every game in the Premier League last season.
As for Fernandes, he joined in January 2020 and has become a vital member of the team.
Maguire's future at Old Trafford has been clouded by uncertainty following an underwhelming campaign.

It's claimed that he will not be a part of Ten Hag's rebuild, with the Dutchman eyeing defensive reinforcements.
Ajax defender Jurrien Timber and Villarreal's Pau Torres are among the defenders linked with a move to the Premier League side this summer.
Speaking at his first Man United press conference, Ten Hag offered no guarantees that the England international would retain the captain's armband.

"Next season is a different season, but he did a great job, he is a great player, he already achieved a lot with his contribution to Manchester United," he said. "I’m looking forward to working with him."
Ten Hag was also questioned about Ronaldo. Asked if he'll be a part of his plans, he said: "Of course."
He was then asked what he can expect from the 37-year-old forward, to which he replied: "Goals."
