Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson recently stunned Liverpool supporters by declaring his support for the Premier League club.
But it turns out the WWE icon had already sworn his allegiance to another English team more than a decade ago.
Liverpool fans were left confused this week when Johnson claimed he was a fan of the Anfield club while doing promo work for his upcoming movie, Black Adam.

After being asked if he supported a football team in an interview with talkSPORT, Johnson said: "Do I support a team? Yes. The Pride of Cheshire.”
To which the interviewer bizarrely replied: "Liverpool?"
Johnson said: "Yes, Liverpool."

Johnson, and the interviewer, were clearly unaware that Liverpool is not in Cheshire, but Merseyside.
It prompted fans to speculate whether Johnson had made up his support for Liverpool, or whether he was getting the Premier League club confused with another team.
It has now emerged that Johnson was in fact referring to Macclesfield Town, who folded in 2020 and have since reformed as Macclesfield FC.
A fan account on Twitter has explained The Rock's unusual choice of team stems from his appearance on Sky Sports' Soccer Am back in 2009.
Replying to a tweet that suggested Johnson is a fan of Liverpool, Twitter account silkmenarmy replied: "He absolutely f****** does not, he's trying to remember the name Macclesfield and that is no joke.

"It was pulled at random for him at Soccer AM (when it was good) and he's never forgotten that he has a team and they're based in Cheshire."
The account also included an image of a tweet from Johnson, posted back in 2011, which read: "Damn right! Macclesfield is my team. The pride of Cheshire! #TeamBringIt"
Footage of the draw has also been posted on Twitter. Check it out below.
In the clip, Johnson draws the team out of a hat to cheers from the audience. He then asks "are they good?", to which presenter Tim Lovejoy replies: "They're one of the biggest teams. You couldn't have picked a better team."

It remains to be seen whether Johnson will be in attendance for Macclesfield's next match.
They face 1874 Northwich on Saturday in the Northern Premier League Division One West – the eighth tier of English football.
