A linesman has become a viral sensation on social media after excitedly sprinting onto the pitch during a Ghanaian Premier League fixture.
League leaders Asante Kotoko battered Bibiani Gold Stars 5-0 on Sunday, with Omgba Mfegue scoring twice and Augustine Agyepong, Frank Etouga Mbella and Samuel Boateng all on the scoresheet.
And it was the second goal, scored by Mfegue, that brought incredible antics from the assistant referee on the far side.
Mbella raced away and sat down a defender before playing in Mfegue, who smashed the ball in against the crossbar to put the hosts 2-0 up.

But though the goal was a tidy finish on the counter attack, you can't help but keep your eyes fixed on the linesman.
He was darting down the touchline to keep up with play but go so carried away that he was literally yards away from the 18-yard box.

And then when the ball was put in the net, the linesman was more or less on the byline with his flag.
It was utter gold from the assistant, who must have forgot he wasn't playing and got closer to the action than most linesmen do.
The unique antics of the unnamed official have been the talk of the town on social media, with nearly 1 million views on the original clip shared.
While 'linos' are tasked with doing the ins and outs and offsides, they often do get a little caught up in the game they are helping officiating.

In September, one linesman was so focused on Lionel Messi's mazy dribble and goal against Manchester City that he hilariously ran onto the pitch in enthusiasm.
