The 32-year-old has played 301 games in all competitions for the Blues, winning an impressive six league titles and the Champions League in their treble-winning campaign.
He penned a new deal last year, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026.

As for Nunes, he played a bit-part role this campaign following his £53 million transfer from Wolves last summer.
He made 28 appearances in all competitions as he struggled for regular minutes and started just seven games in the league, with reports suggesting his future lies away from the Etihad.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also thought to be keeping tabs on the Portuguese midfielder, who is represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes.
Walker and Nunes won't be the only players that Saudi Arabia authorities monitor ahead of the summer transfer window reopening.

They remain hellbent on securing the services of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah while Kevin De Bruyne has been linked with a move to the Middle East, too.
