Sadio Mane has been handed a 'record' fine by Bayern Munich, after he attacked Leroy Sane following the team's Champions League loss to Manchester City.
For a club who are used to relentlessly winning, especially in the Bundesliga, it has not been a week of relative losses for Bayern.
They were absolutely stuffed by City in their quarter final at the Etihad Stadium, with Pep Guardiola's side really laying down a warning to the rest of Europe that this could be their time, even if their fans don't know when the final is.

A draw to Hoffenheim in the league followed at the weekend for Bayern, to add to the misery, but it was the aftermath of the loss to City where things went wrong, with Mane hitting Sane.
The bust up immediately led to reports that the Bundesliga champions would sell the former Liverpool star in the summer, just a year after signing him.
He was suspended temporarily, as they decided what punishment to hand down, and he missed the weekend's draw, which was softened by rivals Borussia Dortmund also drawing.

Sane reportedly pleaded with the club to make sure that the punishment for his teammate wasn't too severe, but they have still handed him a huge fine.
According to Sky Sports Germany, the Senegal forward has been docked "well over 300,000 euros," which is a record for the German giants.
It appears as though the weekend's league game is the only one that the 31-year-old was banned for, so he will be available for the second leg with City on Wednesday.

Whether or not Thomas Tuchel decides to pick the forward remains to be seen, especially when it comes to picking him over or with Sane.
The former City forward turned up to the draw against Hoffenheim with a swollen lip, and started the game on the right hand side of the attack.
The whole saga adds to a poor campaign for the Munich side, who have been league champions for the past 10 years in-a-row.
They sacked Julian Nagelsmann recently, with the team two points behind Borussia Dortmund at that point, and replaced him with Tuchel.

The former Chelsea boss has only won two of his five games in charge so far, though one of those was against Dortmund as they overtook their rivals at the top of the table, the biggest test of his time at the Allianz Arena might be to sort out the mess between Sane and Mane.
