A compilation of Fede Valverde’s goals so far this season shows he is easily one of the best midfielders in the world right now.
The Real Madrid star has been in fine form so far this campaign. In 16 appearances, Valverde has scored seven goals and has provided two assists. With seven goals already, he has scored more this season than in the four previous seasons combined.
After scoring another long-range beauty against Sevilla on Saturday, the 24-year-old has now also scored in each of his last three matches.

The compilation of Valverde’s goals shows he can do everything, he can dribble with the ball, beat defenders and then finish cooly. He can for sure hit them from long range too. In addition, he also has the ability to be in the right place at the right time to tap home, as shown by his goal against Atletico Madrid last month.
Earlier in the season, Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti made a joke that he should retire if he is unable to make Valverde score more than 10 goals.
Now, he is being proved right. The Italian said: “I made a bet, but I think he’ll score more than 10 this season.

“If he scores four more then I get to keep my coaching license! He keeps surprising us. He does well on the wing or in midfield.”
Ancelotti added: “There aren’t any other bets other than with Valverde. It was strange to me how with such a good shot he only scored one last year. He has a lot of confidence, so it’s normal that he scores so many from outside the box.
“His shooting is tremendous, almost like that of Asensio. He is showing a good level, I don’t want to up the bet because I’ll seriously risk my card. I’ll stick to ten [goals]. We are all happy for Federico. He is a good person.”

Valverde will hope to bring his fine form with him when he represents Uruguay in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. The midfielder will be an integral part of his side as they look to go as far as possible in the tournament.
Uruguay are in Group H alongside Portugal, Ghana and South Korea. Their first match will be against the Koreans on November 24.
