Erling Haaland's long-term Manchester City future is reportedly in doubt, with Real Madrid said to be plotting a move for the Norwegian star amidst a Premier League investigation into alleged financial wrongdoing.
Madrid were heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old in the summer, with Haaland opting for a move to the Premier League champions instead.
But it is thought that the La Liga outfit could reignite their interest in Haaland if City are punished for allegedly breaking Premier League financial rules as per Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish outlet report that Madrid are "very attentive" to the situation unfolding in East Manchester, as they believe that there is no guarantee that the former Borussia Dortmund star would stay if any sanctions are applied to the club.
It is also believed that Madrid sees this situation as a positive one in their pursuit of Jude Bellingham.
The English midfielder has been linked with a move to both Madrid and City in recent months, with Liverpool also thought to be in the running for the 19-year-old.

Madrid are said to believe that it would be difficult for City to sign Bellingham if they are charged, whilst they are also wary of the struggles that Liverpool are enduring on the pitch, a situation which could leave Los Blancos in pole position to sign the Dortmund man.
Haaland has been redefining Premier League goalscoring since his move to City in the summer.
The Norwegian has netted 25 goals in the competition so far, including four hat-tricks, leaving him eight goals clear of nearest rival Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot.

Questions have been raised as to whether Haaland made the right choice in moving to City in the summer, with former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher telling Sky Sports cameras that "he may have actually picked the wrong club to get the best out of him."
