Fans were shocked as Real Madrid played 'You'll Never Walk Alone' over the tannoy at the Santiago Bernabeu after knocking Liverpool out of the Champions League.
Los Blancos were leading 5-2 from a pulsating first leg at Anfield and strolled to a 1-0 victory on their own patch courtesy of a solitary strike from captain and talisman Karim Benzema in the second half.
Liverpool didn't ever look like turning around a three-goal deficit and have now been knocked out of every competition they were participating in this season.

Normally Real play their anthem 'Hala Madrid' after every home fixture but to the surprise of many, they played Liverpool's iconic song as soon as the full-time whistle sounded.
It was likely meant as a classy gesture for the 1800 Liverpool fans who travelled to the Spanish capital but after beating the Reds in two different finals in recent years, plenty felt it was an act of 's***housery' from the European champions.
One fan wrote: "Real Madrid play you’ll never walk alone at full time! Total humiliation for Liverpool."

Another commented: "Is it classy from Real Madrid to play You’ll Never Walk Alone, or is it a world-class wind-up?"
A third concurred: "Genuinely couldn’t think of anything more condescending than being beaten so comfortably the home team plays your anthem on the PA system."
A fourth was in two minds, writing: "Real Madrid playing 'You’ll Never Walk Alone' at full time is either a really nice touch or incredible sh*thousery."
A fifth agreed: "We get beaten by Real Madrid AGAIN and now they're playing You'll Never Walk Alone? And is if it couldn't get any worse."
