Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has blasted Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe for having too much ego.
This came after reports emerged claiming that the French superstar is looking to move away from the Parc des Princes in January as his relationship with the club has apparently ‘collapsed’.
Mbappe’s rumoured transfer demand has come as a surprise due to the fact that he only signed a new contract extension in June.

According to French journalist Julien Laurens, Mbappe feels ‘betrayed’ by the club after they failed to live up to the promises that they made.
However, the Paris club's sporting director Luis Campos denied the rumours. He told Canal Plus: “I am with Kylian Mbappe every day. He has never talked to me about leaving in January.
“It's not a statement from the player, it's [from the press], and to have such information before a match like this is very serious. That's why I'm here, to deny and say clearly that Kylian Mbappe has never spoken to me or to the president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] to leave PSG in January.”

Carragher has now blasted Mbappe during his appearance on CBS Sports.
The former Liverpool centre-back said on Tuesday: “The problem I have is that why is this coming out now? They’ve got a Champions League game tonight.
“The thing with Mbappe is, I think we all love him as a player, he’s amazing, but there is too much ego, and power for a 23-year-old player, who is one of the best players in the world.

“But he is a young player, and I think someone needs to just tell him ‘no’.”
Mbappe played in the match against Benfica later that evening and gave his side the lead from the penalty spot. PSG were then denied all three points by a second-half penalty by Joao Mario.
In terms of his next club, he will no doubt be linked again with a move to Real Madrid, however, according to Spanish news outlet Marca, Madrid are no longer an option for the Frenchman.

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for Mbappe but it is almost impossible for them to match the price tag and wages that PSG and Mbappe would demand.
At this moment, it looks like Mbappe could be forced to stay with PSG for the remainder of the season.
The Ligue 1 champions are back in action on Sunday as they welcome rivals Marseille to the Parc des Princes.
