Thiago Silva was left red-faced after attempting to clear the ball in the Chelsea vs Newcastle game on Saturday afternoon.
The 39-year-old defender started the clash against Newcastle, setting the record for the oldest ever outfield Chelsea player.
That would be the end of the positives for both Silva and Chelsea on Saturday, as Newcastle walked away with an emphatic 4-1 win over the 10-man Blues.

Newcastle went into the game with no wins in their last two, but returning frontman Alexander Isak opened the scoring before Raheem Sterling equalised with a sumptuous free-kick to round off a competitive half.
The Magpies then dominated the second half, scoring three more as Chelsea captain Reece James got sent off.
It was not a night to remember for Thiago Silva in particular, who seemed to struggle, along with the rest of the defence, to contain Newcastle in the second half.

Some football fans on X found it quite amusing, whereas others felt bad for the veteran, as it was a very uncharacteristic action from a player who is usually cool, calm, and collected.

One simply said: "He was poor today"
Another user replied: "He needs to rest a little. Age is actually catching up."
A more sympathetic user commented: "Man is tired and needs to rest"
Despite this blooper of a moment from Silva, nothing can put a blemish on the stellar career he has had, and lining up in the Premier League while pushing 40-years-old is immensely impressive.
