Southampton are in talks to sign a Premier League star on a free transfer, according to stunning reports.

According to The Daily Echo, Southampton are in talks to sign Adam Lallana on a free transfer.

The 36-year-old graduated from the club's famed youth academy and played for the club in the Premier League, Championship and League One.
He made 265 appearances across all competitions, scoring 60 goals before departing for Liverpool in the summer of 2014.
At Liverpool, he won the Premier League and Champions League, among other silverware.
Lallana transferred to Brighton upon the expiration of his Liverpool deal and is set to leave the Amex Stadium when his current contract runs down on June 30.

Ahead of becoming a free agent, the former England international could make an emotional return to Southampton a decade after his departure.
The report states that he intends to take time to reflect on this season before making his decision.

"The style is something that myself and my players believe in, I won't change and I love what I do.
