The highlights from Sandro Tonali’s much anticipated Newcastle United debut have gone viral.
Tonali moved from Serie A giants AC Milan to Newcastle earlier in the month in a deal worth a reported €70 million.
Since then, Magpies fans have been longing to see their new hero in action for the first time as Eddie Howe’s men prepare for the 23/24 season.

On Tuesday night, Newcastle continued their pre-season with a friendly clash against Scottish Premiership side Rangers.
Tonali was in from the start as he was selected in midfield alongside Sean Longstaff and Elliot Anderson.
During a brilliant debut, Tonali showed glimpses of why Newcastle forked out a huge sum to bring him to the North East.

The 23-year-old was good with the ball as he was seen spraying passes all over the field with precise accuracy and power.
Tonali was also involved in the opening goal as his first-time pass for Anderson allowed him to set up Miguel Almiron to finish expertly.
In the end, Newcastle came out 2-1 winners against Rangers.
After the match, the highlights from his 45-minute cameo went viral.
Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “As a Newcastle fan, he looked absolutely quality, don’t worry, AC fans we’ll look after him.”
Another tweeted: “Did he put even one foot wrong?! Some players don't get a reel of quality passes like that in a season, let alone in one game. What a signing…”
A third fan added: “We knew he was strong in the challenge and a powerful runner but wow does he read the game quickly. Several times he was on it before others had even realised where the ball was going.”

Someone else wrote: “Playing all over the place, good passing and vision. With a full-strength team going full speed he’s going to be a nightmare to play against.”
On his team’s performance, Howe said: “Bits of the first half was outstanding, some really good football.
“Second half wasn’t as pretty and clean but there were a lot of changes, we managed to find a way to win again and that’s a great thing.”
