The Premier League have released a statement following a controversial VAR review on a incident involving Tyler Adams and Alejandro Garnacho.
Before Bournemouth opening the scoring following Antoine Semenyo's strike in the 23rd minute, Adams was shown a yellow card after a reckless tackle on Manchester United winger Garnacho.
The Cherries midfielder jumped in with both feet off the ground and caught Garnacho with his studs as match referee Peter Bankes brandished a yellow card to the surprise of many.

Despite his on-field decision, VAR checked the incident as Man United fans called for a red card following the dangerous challenge.

One X user wrote: "And Patrick Dorgu was given a red vs Ipswich for exactly the same type of challenge. Now let’s talk about how PGMOL aren’t biased against United."
A second tweeted: "That’s a 2 footed challenge from Tyler Adams. Jumps into the tackle with both feet off the ground. Any United player does that it’s a straight red."

A third added: "How the f**k has Tyler Adam’s escaped a red card there? Both feet off the ground. Studs up. If that was Casemiro he’d get a 12 month suspended sentence and 80 hours community service."
A fourth commented: "Off the ground with two feet and it’s a yellow. Honestly what is the point in VAR."
Shortly after Adams' foul on Garnacho, the Premier League released a statement, with VAR claiming it was 'not serious foul play'.
A statement read: "The referee’s call of yellow card for the challenge by Adams on Garnacho was checked and confirmed by VAR - with the challenge deemed reckless and not serious foul play."

Man United went behind not long after.
On Adams' challenge, Francis Benali said: "It's not the worst challenge we have seen. What goes against Tyler Adams is he's airborne for a split second.
"He didn't go with his studs showing and he has played the ball. I think that's a strong attempt to play the ball."
