Paul Scholes is the greatest Premier League midfielder of all time, according to Ben Foster, who has sparked some serious debate with his latest TikTok video.
Foster, who will feature between the sticks for League Two side Wrexham this season, gave himself the unenviable task of ranking the top 10 midfielders in Premier League history.
To kick things off, the former Manchester United goalkeeper names recently-retired David Silva in 10th place.

Silva enjoyed a trophy-laden career with Manchester City, where he lifted four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and five League Cup trophies during an unforgettable ten-year spell.
Foster goes on to name former United teammate Ryan Giggs in his top 10 alongside Yaya Toure, Gareth Bale, Patrick Vieira and another ex-United midfielder, Roy Keane.

Perhaps the biggest surprise from Foster's controversial top 10 list is the whereabouts of Steven Gerrard.

When it comes to the age-old 'Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes' debate, many often pick the former Liverpool and England midfielder as their number one.
But the Wrexham shot-stopper names Frank Lampard, Kevin De Bruyne and Paul Scholes ahead of Gerrard.
Here is the list in full:
- 10. David Silva [Manchester City]
- 9. Ryan Giggs [Manchester United]
- 8. Yaya Toure [Manchester City]
- 7. Gareth Bale [Spurs]
- 6. Patrick Vieira [Arsenal]
- 5. Roy Keane [Manchester United]
- 4. Steven Gerrard [Liverpool]
- 3. Frank Lampard [Chelsea]
- 2. Kevin De Bruyne [Manchester City]
- 1. Paul Scholes [Manchester United]
As you can imagine, the TikTok comments were quick to have their say on Foster's picks. One fan said: "Steven Gerrard fourth is crazy," while another commented: "If you don't know it's Paul Scholes then you don't know ball."

A third wrote: "If Bale is a midfielder then so is Ronaldo, therefore Ronaldo is first."
A fourth added: "Cesc Fabregas must have played golf."
