Nottingham Forest star Danilo had the worst possible start to a season after suffering a horror injury mere minutes into the opening fixture with Bournemouth.
The midfielder, one of Forest's key players, challenged Antoine Semenyo in the air eight minutes into the clash at the City Ground.
But he landed awkwardly from the jump and his leg gave away in horrible fashion, with Danilo in immediate pain on the turf and raising his hand to signal he was hurt.

Teammate Morgan Gibbs-White put his hands on his head and both he and referee Michael Oliver gestured for treatment in panic.
He was attended to by medics, while stewards were required to hold up banners as a makeshift screen around him before the 23-year-old was stretchered off the pitch and replaced by substitute Ryan Yates.
The Brazilian now looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious injury which was described as "disgusting" on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday programme.

There was an extended stoppage in play as Danilo received treatment. Forest did then take the lead in the game, with Chris Wood opening his account for the season with a poacher's goal after 26 minutes.
Nuno Espirito Santo will no doubt be asked to give an update on Danilo's injury in his post-match interview and Forest fans will be fearing the former Palmeiras man will not feature again this season.
Danilo received many messages of support online, with the Premier League's X account replying to Forest.

Danilo signed for Forest in January 2023 for a fee of £16 million, penning a six-and-a-half-year contract.
He has gone on to play 50 times for the club, scoring six times in all competitions.
But both he and Forest have been hit with an almighty set-back which could alter their transfer plans.
