The fitness woes of Liverpool and Manchester United have been laid bare by an injury ranking of Premier League clubs.
Injuries are an unfortunate part of the game that every team has to deal with, although some are inevitably affected more than others.
But because everyone has injuries, fans like to argue that their side has been impacted by them more than anyone else.

This year there has been plenty of talk about how injuries have impacted the Premier League title race, the fight for European qualification and the battle against relegation.
Using data from Premier Injuries, Sky Sports have revealed that Newcastle are the Premier League side worst hit by injuries this season.
Eddie Howe has had to deal with 29 separate injuries in his squad this term, amounting to a whopping 1,333 days lost due to injuries since the season kicked off on August 11.

Harvey Barnes, Sven Botman, Nick Pope, Jacob Murphy, Elliot Anderson, Matt Targett, Joe Willock, Callum Wilson and Joelinton have been out of action for long periods.
Brighton and Manchester United have both suffered 28 injuries in 2023/24, with the latter heading into the Manchester derby against Man City this weekend without in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Chelsea have all suffered 27 lay-offs this season.

Liverpool are currently top of the table despite losing key players including Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold to injury in recent weeks.
Meanwhile Wolves and West Ham have suffered only 13 injury issues each, making them the most injury-free teams.
