Fulham star completes dismantles Adama Traore's claim that he doesn't go to the gym

Adama Traore has always claimed he never does weights at the gym but one Fulham teammate has responded.

Adama Traore's claim that he doesn't train weights at the gym has been completely dismantled by one of his Fulham teammates.

Traore is quite possibly the most physically impressive player in the Premier League, with a frightening combination of speed and strength making him a nightmare for opposition full-backs to deal with.

The Barcelona academy product was once a scrawny teenage talent but his physique soon developed enormously to the point where he looks like he could be a sprinter, NFL player or heavyweight boxer.

The 29-year-old, formerly of Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Wolves, has always maintained that despite his bulging biceps, he does not do weight exercises.

Asked about his secrets, Traore told MARCA: "I train every day with my physical coach, people ask if I do weights or on social media they ask if I take something or what I do, but I don't, it's just prevention and physical work, I don't do work to get muscle because I get muscle really quickly.

"No, I haven't lifted a single weight. I know people won't believe it, but it's true."

However, Traore's Fulham colleague Antonee Robinson claims that the Spain international isn't exactly telling the truth. The left-back has responded to talk, stressing that Traore is always in the gym to build on his hulking physique.

Asked by Ben Foster on the Fozcast, Robinson said: "Is this from the rumours where he's saying, 'I don't ever do gym'? It's a big lie! He's always in the gym.

"Anyone with any sense, you can see the size of him but I remember thinking that and wondering what he was like. The first thing I said was, 'Where you looking to live?' and he was like, 'I was going to live here but there's not enough space for the gym to go in the house'.

"He's a unit. He's 5ft 8 or 5ft 9 or something and he's about 90kg."

Foster's co-host Tom Ochoa pointed out that Traore had a habit of putting baby oil for games to slip away from opponents, though Robinson claims he's stopped the trend.

"I don't think he does it anymore," he added.

"I think he stopped that. He had a physio at Barca and Wolves who would do it for him and our physios like, 'Nah'.

To finish up, Foster said that he is "glad" Robinson was able to set the record straight as he deemed it to be "not fair" if there are people "walking this earth that don't have to do gym and look like that".

Traore has played 45 times for Fulham, scoring four goals.
