Fans have been left baffled at VAR's reported explanation for why Everton were not given a penalty during their Premier League match against Fulham.
The two sides are currently facing off in a critical match at the bottom of the table for the Toffees.
Sean Dyche's side haven't won any of their four league games in the calendar year, and will end tonight in the bottom three if they fail to win and Luton beat Brighton.

But they could have gone into half time with the lead at Craven Cottage had they been awarded a penalty for a perceived infringement by Fulham defender Antonee Robinson.
The ball rebounded off the crossbar and inadvertently struck the American full-back on the arm as he attempted to clear it.

According to Liverpool Echo writer Joe Thomas, VAR did review the incident live.

It is said that referee Thomas Bramall was not requested to review the pitchside monitor because, according to the officials, Robinson's arm was deemed to be by his side when contact was made with the ball.
And while some may argue that the touch was accidental from that particular position and therefore should not have been a penalty, fans were certainly bemused by the actual explanation for the decision.
One wrote: "It "was" by his side, just not when his hand hit the ball."
Another said: "By his side. Absolutely pathetic."

A third added: "If that's not a clear and obvious error, I'd like to know what is."
And a fourth supporter joked: "His arm is that far out, it's in the Emirates down the road."
The game eventually finished 0-0, with neither side able to break the deadlock at Craven Cottage.

Luton's 4-0 victory over Brighton, meanwhile, meant that Everton did indeed end the night in the relegation zone, and while they have played a game more than their rivals, the Toffees are only one point behind Luton and with a superior goal difference.
