The Gunners hit back with four unanswered goals as Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri all got on the score-sheet.
After the final whistle, Arsenal mocked Haaland, who had a telling response.
During the game, Lewis-Skelly seemingly taunted Haaland as he copied the Man City star's celebration.

Arsenal have still yet to win the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta, who has pushed Pep Guardiola all the way in the last two seasons.
They have finished runners-up to Man City in the last two league campaigns as the Blues have won four league titles in a row.
But a fifth league title on the bounce appears unlikely as they are now 15 points adrift of Liverpool.
Speaking after his side's defeat, Guardiola said: "We're giving away too many things. We're aware [of this] we talk, and this can happen. But we reacted really well and we played with personality, we defended so good and with the ball we were quite a threat

"You have to overcome, you cannot lose the control, it's 90, 95 minutes. You cannot finish in the way we played, we could've scored three more but the team has to be stable it doesn't matter what happened."
Man City return to action next Saturday when they resume their FA Cup campaign against Leyton Orient.
