David Ornstein has dropped a Jose Mourinho bombshell amid reports linking him with the Everton vacancy following the sacking of Sean Dyche.
Everton have terminated Dyche's contract in the wake of the club's 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
His dismissal comes just hours before their FA Cup third round tie against Peterborough.
A club statement read "Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.

"Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the Club.
"The process to appoint a new manager is under way and an update will be provided in due course.
"Under-18s Head Coach Leighton Baines and Club Captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis."

Mourinho, who is currently in charge of Fenerbahce, had been linked with replacing Dyche at Everton.
But Mourinho is NOT in contention to take over as the new Everton manager, according to Ornstein.
The report claims Mourinho was never considered by new Everton owners The Friedkin Group despite working together at AS Roma.
Of course, the Portuguese has managed Chelsea on two separate occasions as well Manchester United and Tottenham.

He has won the Premier League title three times with Chelsea and won the EFL Cup and the Europa League during his Man United spell.
With Mourinho out of the running, David Moyes, who has managed Everton previously, Lee Carsley and Thomas Frank are among the candidates to replace Dyche at Goodison Park.
