Brighton are about to offload Moises Caicedo for an astronomical fee but the club believe they will be involved in the next British record transfer too.
Under chairman Tony Bloom, the Seagulls have developed a reputation as one of the smartest operators in England, signing relatively unknown players and later selling them for massive profit.
In recent years Brighton have sold the likes of Marc Cucurella, Yves Bissouma, Leandro Trossard, Alexis Mac Allister and Robert Sanchez for much more than they paid out.
Their next sale, Caicedo, looks set to be the most expensive in Premier League history. After what's been quite the summer saga, the Ecuadorian is now on his way to Chelsea for a medical following the Blues agreeing to pay a total of £115 million for his services.

The deal eclipses the £107 million Chelsea paid Benfica for Enzo Fernandez in January and contains add-ons which are seen as "achievable", as well as a sell-on clause.
Brighton bought Caicedo for just £4 million in 2021 and will rake in yet another substantial fee.
But don't be surprised to see Brighton feature in a future record transfer as the club are already preparing for it.

Melissa Reddy of Sky Sports took to Twitter to reveal that the South Coast outfit don't expect 18-year-old striker Evan Ferguson to be at the AMEX Stadium for much longer.
She wrote: "Brighton's exceptional trading shows no signs of stopping. Club believe they already have the next British record transfer brewing in Evan Ferguson - and for good reason."
The Republic of Ireland wonderkid bagged 10 goals in 25 appearances in a stellar breakthrough campaign and attracted interest from Manchester United.

Ferguson, his country's record goalscorer, signed a contract extension until 2028 in April and got off the mark for the new season with a header in the 4-1 thrashing of Luton Town.
Brighton signed Ferguson from Bohemians for an undisclosed fee in 2021 but will no doubt recoup a massive amount when the time does come to move him on.
Gary Lineker is a huge fan and has urged Spurs to go for him as their Harry Kane replacement after his Bayern Munich switch.
After seeing him come off the bench to score on Saturday, Lineker commented: "Evan Ferguson scores in Fergie time. He’s a born goalscorer. If I was in charge of recruitment at @SpursOfficial I’d take a punt on him as Kane’s replacement. Apologies to @OfficialBHAFC fans."
