Ange Postecoglou snapped at a reporter during a press conference over a comment he made following Tottenham's crushing defeat to Arsenal.
Spurs suffered a 1-0 defeat to cross-town rivals Arsenal in the North London derby last weekend.
It means Postecoglou's side have won just one of their opening four games of the new Premier League season.
After the result, the Australian boss insisted that he 'always wins' trophies in his second season.

On Tuesday, he fielded questions from the media ahead of Spurs' Carabao Cup tie at Coventry City on Wednesday.
And he was asked about his comment, prompting a fiery response.
"It’s amazing - I just stated a fact - should I lie? I am not sure how am I supposed to answer something that’s true and it seems like I upset some people for some reason," he exclaimed.
Postecoglou added: "Is it me boasting? How am I supposed to answer something. You could say they are those competitions - or are easy or something - but it is true and I am not sure why people think I am boasting about it.

"It is true and my plan is for it to happen this year and if it doesn’t happen then I will say it is mostly - but not always."
The 59-year-old is in his second season at the club following his appointment from Celtic in the summer of 2023.
He led them to a fifth-placed finish in the league last season.

But their new campaign has not got off to a great start, having only won one game so far.
Spurs opened their league campaign with a 1-1 draw at Leicester City before thrashing Everton 4-0.
Postecoglou's team then lost to Newcastle United before succumbing to Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.
Spurs resume their league venture on Saturday when they host Brentford.
