A Premier League XI containing the best teenage players in the division was named in 2013 - and the starlets have had differing fortunes since then.
In 2013, Bleacher Report named the 'Next Generation Premier League XI', which was mainly balanced towards players that had already featured for their sides at senior level.
This was, then, less of an XI based on pure potential, and more based on current ability.

If you had to name an XI around the same criteria now, players such as Brighton's Evan Ferguson, Manchester City's Rico Lewis and Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho would surely be instant selections.
They will hope to become some of the world's top players over the next 10 years - but that wasn't the case for every youngster who was tipped for greatness back in 2013.
But where are the 'Premier League Next Generation XI' now? Let's take a look.

Gregor Zabret (Swansea City)
Slovenian shot-stopper Zabret got the nod in the team despite not yet playing a senior game for Swansea.
He spent seven years with the Swans, but failed to make a senior appearance before being released in 2020.
In 2021, he signed for Welsh side Aberystwyth Town, where he played 27 games. He is currently a free agent.

Calum Chambers (Southampton)
Chambers had yet to make his Premier League debut for Southampton when the team was compiled, but he was certainly a solid pick.
He left the Saints to join Arsenal after an impressive 2013/14 season, and made over 100 appearances for the Gunners before joining Aston Villa last year.
A utility player who can play right-back, centre-back and in midfield, Chambers has three caps for England and was named as Fulham's player of the year during a loan spell in 2018/19.

Nathan Ake (Chelsea)
Undoubtedly one of the stars of this team, Ake became a treble winner earlier this month with Manchester City.
He made his mark in the Premier League at Bournemouth, both during a loan spell and on a permanent basis after being sold by Chelsea.
As one of the division's best defenders who can play in central defence and at left-back, the Blues will no doubt be rueing their mistake.

Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea)
Another graduate from Chelsea's famous Cobham academy, Chalobah was tipped for big things from a young age.
But like many starlets of that era, the centre-back turned midfielder went through several loan spells before making 15 appearances for the Blues in all competitions in the 2016/17 season.
He signed for Watford in 2017 and impressed during his early appearances, but then suffered a serious knee injury. In 2021, he joined Fulham, and made four Premier League appearances this season.
Luke Shaw (Southampton)
Another star of this side, Shaw's potential saw him snapped up by Manchester United for around £30 million in 2014.
After recovering from a horror leg back the following year, the defender has made 260 appearances for the club and is England's first-choice left-back.
Gedion Zelalem (Arsenal)
A highly-rated Arsenal starlet, Zelalem trained with the Gunners first team at the age of 16 but made just four appearances - none in the Premier League - before joining MLS franchise Sporting Kansas City in 2019.
After a three-season spell at New York City, where he played 21 times, the 26-year-old midfielder now plays for Dutch second tier side FC Den Bosch.
James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)
A further indication of just how good Southampton's youth system was at the time, Ward-Prowse is another of the club's starlets to have had a successful Premier League career.
One of the best set-piece takers in world football, no Saints player has scored more free-kicks than the 28-year-old in the Premier League.
He is currently set to play Championship football next season after relegation, but has been tipped to sign for a top flight side.
Jeremie Boga (Chelsea)
Whilst life at Chelsea didn't work out for Boga, he has found success elsewhere during his career.
The Ivorian played just one game for the Blues in 2017 before joining Serie A side Sassuolo two years later. He scored 18 goals in two-and-a-half seasons for the Italian side, earning himself a move to Atalanta in 2022.
Adnan Januzaj (Manchester United)
A player tipped for big things when he broke into United's senior side under David Moyes, Januzaj couldn't live up to his potential in England after a loan spell at Sunderland.
But success at Real Sociedad followed, with the Belgian scoring 23 goals in 168 appearances. He joined Sevilla on a free transfer at the start of this season but, after limited game time, ended the campaign on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir.
Serge Gnabry (Arsenal)
A story of what could have been for Arsenal. Gnabry made 10 Premier League appearances for the Gunners before they sold him to Werder Bremen in 2016.
His performances earned him a move to Bayern Munich the following season, where he has developed into one of the world's top wide forwards.
The German has scored a superb 81 goals in 216 appearances, and played at two major tournaments for his country.
Lucas Piazon (Chelsea)
Another Chelsea starlet to filter through the dreaded loan system, Piazon had seven loan spells away from Stamford Bridge at the likes of Reading and Fulham before joining Braga permanently in 2021.
After two seasons in Portugal, Piazon joined Brazilian side Botafogo in 2022, where he currently plays now.
