The Premier League and Electronic Arts have reportedly agreed a near £500m deal, one of the most lucrative agreements of its kind in the league's history.
The EA Sports FIFA video-game series is synonymous with the Premier League, and is played by footballers and supporters across the world.

The pair go hand-in-hand to such an extent that it is difficult to imagine one without the other. Luckily for fans of English football's top division, they won't have to any time soon.
On Friday Sky News reported that the Premier League and EA are close to reaching a new six-year agreement worth £488m.
The new mega-deal will reportedly be worth more than double the current arrangement between the two parties, another clear show of strength from the richest league on the planet.

Sky reported that representatives from all 20 clubs were briefed on Friday about the impending deal.
One club executive told Sky that the new deal would deliver more than £80m annually and would see EA retain it's exclusive electronic game license.
The lucrative agreement is a huge deal for EA, particularly as it comes months after they and FIFA ended a 30-year association.
As a result, starting in 2023 the football video-game series - which features players and team from across the world as well as England - will bare a new name, having previously been titled 'EA Sports FIFA'.

According to Sky, the Premier League and EA have ties dating back to 1998, while the video-games giant has been a lead partner of England's top division since 2016.
The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has a value of $30bn.
The new partnership comes as Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United both seek new investment.
Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk was the last Premier League player to feature on the cover of FIFA (2019).
