Sky Sports viewers were left stunned after Paul Merson's comment on coverage of Arsenal's 1-0 win over Manchester United.
The victory was Arsenal's 27th in the Premier League this term and broke a record set by the Invincibles in the 2003/04 campaign.
And it means they have ensured the Premier League title race with Manchester City goes to the final day.

Arsenal are one point clear at the top but City have a crucial game in hand against the Gunners' rivals Spurs on Tuesday.
Ange Postecoglou's side have just bounced back from four straight defeats which have dented their Champions League hopes.
And there is the odd situation that Spurs would be helping their rivals if they beat City.

But Arsenal legend Merson is not expecting them to help Arsenal in any way in their final home game of the season.
In fact, he is so confident in City winning that he has said he will get a Spurs tattoo if they get a positive result.
"If [Aston] Villa got beat tomorrow by two or three, all of a sudden that goal difference changes a bit,” he said on Sky Sports.

“If they go and get beat by one or two at Palace…
“If they lost their next two games by two clear goals, I am not talking about the extraordinary here, that’s four goals, then all of a sudden Tottenham…if they get a draw against City I am having a tattoo, and then they go and put six past Sheffield United.
“It all goes down to Tuesday, I am starting to want Arsenal not to win it now. It would be the little cockerel on the ball, but I will have it. I will have it.”
Spurs are still in with an outside chance of reaching the top four but an Aston Villa win against Liverpool will all but end their hopes.

And Merson reckons Spurs fans will celebrate if City score such is the strong Arsenal disdain.
“They won’t be playing for anything. I played in them games, they aren’t wanting Arsenal to win the league.
"It will get to a stage where Tottenham fans will cheer if Man City score. They will!

“The one thing they don’t want is Arsenal to win the league, that’s the one thing, but they have no choice, if Aston Villa get beat, than to stay hungry.”
City will move two points above Arsenal with a win over Spurs, while they are also now just three goals behind their title rivals when it comes to goal difference.
Pep Guardiola's side host West Ham on the final day, while Arsenal take on Everton at the Emirates.
