Footage of Oleksandr Zinchenko’s brilliant Manchester City dressing room team talk has resurfaced after Pep Guardiola’s side’s shock exit in the Carabao Cup.
On Wednesday night, many thought it was going to be a routine City victory but things turned out completely different as goals from Sekou Mara and Moussa Djenepo sealed a shock 2-0 win for Southampton.
That defeat meant City have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup before the semi-final stage in two successive seasons.

After the defeat, footage of a speech given by Zinchenko re-emerged, showing what City lost after selling him to Arsenal in the summer, a true leader. You can watch the footage below.
Zinchenko was heard saying to his teammates: “Forget what happened in the past, it is gone, over, forget.
“Just look into each other, give everything and die on the pitch.

“Everyone knows what they have to do on the pitch, everyone knows. We are fighting for something massive and incredible.
“We are going to become legends, all of you. We go there and we f**king die there, let’s go!”
Since Zinchenko moved to the Emirates alongside another former City teammate Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal have looked completely different to last season.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, five points ahead of reigning champions City.

Many fans are wondering whether Arsenal will have the know-how to fend off City as they search for their first league title since the 03/04 season.
Zinchenko has previously spoken about handling pressure in vital moments.
He said: “What I’ve seen in the past if you have the right attitude and the right behaviour on and off the pitch, you can’t be tired physically. You can be only tired in the head - everything is coming from your head.

“If you do all the things right in your routine - your sleep, your food, look after yourself well -and you do everything to prepare your body fresh. If you do everything right, you can’t be tired physically.”
Will Arsenal win the Premier League? Only time will tell.
