Marc Guehi had an impressive England debut against Switzerland on Saturday night, with Gareth Southgate using the word "composed" to describe his display.
Guehi got the nod alongside fellow debutant Kyle Walker-Peters, while his Crystal Palace colleague Tyrick Mitchell also made his England bow in the second half of the 2-1 win at Wembley.
His fine form at Palace prompted Southgate to fast-track the 21-year-old into his plans, with the Three Lions boss a fan of how calm Guehi is in sticky situations.
Normally it's in a defensive capacity but when needed, the former Swansea City loanee can be ice cool from the spot.
In 2019, Guehi took one of the most unique penalties we've ever seen in a shoot-out against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Youth League.
There was huge pressure on the defender, then 18 at the time, as a semi-final with Barcelona was looming.
Yet, instead of going for a safe spot-kick, Guehi decided to conjure up something completely out of the ordinary by introducing us all to a 'zero step' penalty.
There was literally no run up from Guehi whatsoever and he confidently rolled the ball past the goalkeeper, who guessed right but wasn't quick enough to react.
You couldn't exactly blame him too much, however, as not many players take penalties with the kind of technique displayed by Guehi.
The commentator couldn't help but ask," Have you seen anything like this at any level?!".
He made it 3-1 to Chelsea and the Blues would advance on penalties.
The closest thing we've seen to Guehi's goodness is the five-a-side spot-kick approach from Aritz Aduriz, who bagged a one-step penalty for Athletic Bilbao.
Harry Kane is quite possibly the best penalty taker in the world right now but we reckon Guehi should be on duty from now on.
Reflecting on his England debut, Guehi told the BBC: "It helps that you are playing Premier League football week in, week out.
"If you are constantly playing games at a high level it eases that transition a little bit, but it is still a really high level and you have to adapt.
"The team have made it easy for me in training, and the clear messages you get from the staff are fantastic. The senior players and everyone around us have helped us feel comfortable and be ourselves when we are playing."
Guehi moved to England with his family from Ivory Coast at the age of one and joined the Chelsea academy at 8-years-old.
A member of England's Under 17 World Cup winning squad in 2017, he left Stamford Bridge in pursuit of first-team football and signed for Palace in a £18 million deal.
He's made 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and even captaining the Eagles.
