Newcastle have agreed a club-record £63 million move for Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak, reports say.
The Magpies, who drew 3-3 with champions Manchester City on Sunday, have been keen to bolster to their attacking options with a new striker.
And out of nowhere, local reports, then confirmed by David Ornstein of The Athletic, say that Newcastle are about to make their biggest transfer since the takeover from the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund was completed.

The mammoth bid has been accepted by La Real, with the Sweden striker set to become the club's fourth signing of the summer.
Should the deal go ahead as anticipated, it will eclipse the £41.5 million Newcastle paid to land Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon in the January transfer window.

After the influx of new funds, Newcastle splashed the cash mid-season and as well as Guimaraes, brought in Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn and Chris Wood.
With Financial Fair Play rules to take into account, Nick Pope and Sven Botman have been the two key arrivals in the current window, in addition to Matt Targett's loan being made permanent.
Isak, 22, joined Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and has gone on to score 44 goals in 132 appearances in all competitions for the Basque outfit.

On the international stage, he's been capped 37 times, scoring nine goals.
Isak, came through the youth ranks at AIK, had been heavily linked with Premier League leaders Arsenal.
