Nani “wasn’t too happy” after he was savagely mocked in front of his Manchester United teammates with two brutal Cristiano Ronaldo-themed pranks.
That is according to former United masseuse Rob Thornley, who revealed that both Ronaldo and Nani were in the room when the first prank took place.
Nani arrived at Old Trafford in 2007 from Sporting CP and lifted four Premier League titles, a Champions League and two League Cups under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 36-year-old winger played alongside former Portugal teammate Ronaldo at Old Trafford before the latter’s blockbuster £80m move to Real Madrid in 2009.
Thornley has now opened up on how he played a prank on Ronaldo and Nani when they were at United and both of them watched on as it happened.
Irrespective of Ronaldo’s departure to Los Blancos, the former United masseuse staged a follow-up prank that equally annoyed Red Devils fan-favourite Nani.

Speaking on the Undr The Cosh podcast, Thornley said: “The only one that really gave it to me in the neck was Nani.
“He wasn’t too happy. I got two kids dressed up as Ronaldo and Nani. ‘Ronaldo’ came out into the canteen, which was 30 yards wide with a door either side, and everything went on in the middle of it.

“The kid dressed as Ronaldo came out carrying a rope and he’s going, ‘Here boy, here boy.’ The actual Ronaldo and Nani are in the room watching this happen.

“The kid’s pulling it and it’s getting tighter, he yanks one last time and then a kid dressed as Nani pops through the other side of the door with the rope around his neck as a dog collar.
“We sold Ronaldo that summer, so the year after I got another kid to dress up as Nani and carry a poster showing Ronaldo, saying: ‘Have you seen my owner?’ So he wasn’t happy with that either.”
