Michael van Gerwen has made a mockery of Manchester United's lack of Champions League football after he featured in a leaked 'list' of the club's transfer targets.
Erik ten Hag will try and make an impact in this season's Europa League after the club failed to qualify for Europe's elite competition.
After struggling in all competitions during the 2021/22 campaign, especially in the league, United will be looking to bounce back with some new additions in this summer's window.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been strongly linked with a move to United alongside Ajax pair Antony and Jurrien Timber. But what about fellow countryman Michael van Gerwen?
The three-time PDC World Champion, who is a huge fan of Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven, was mentioned alongside Wesley Sneijder and Tiesto in a joke tweet by Paddy Power.
The post read: "BREAKING: Man Utd’s list of summer transfer targets has been leaked.

"The leaks confirm the club are interested in signing Frenkie De Jong, Antony, Jurrien Timber, Lisandro Martinez, Jari Litmanen, Wesley Sneijder, Michael Van Gerwen and Tiesto."
It didn't take Van Gerwen long to issue a response to the so-called leaks. In fact, he hilariously claimed to be a "Champions League player", meaning he won't "drop down" to United's level. Blimey.
As you can imagine, plenty of United fans reacted to the response on Twitter.

One fan said: "My club is catching strays from a professional dart player on Twitter," while another commented: "Everyone is bantering us."
Opposition fans, meanwhile, were loving the reply. A third fan wrote: "This is why he’s the best in the world. OOHHHHH MICHAEL VAN GERWENNNN," while another said: "Getting bantered by darts players. How the mighty have fallen."
In terms of real transfer news, Erik ten Hag is targeting 'at least' five signings this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
